Celebration of the "Festival of Drums and Cultural Expressions" in the village of San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia, a place with cultural traditions and African ancestral heritage. First free town of America, declared World Heritage Site. A group of youngsters preparing for the celebration dress the town in colors, decorating it with pre-Colombian art and motifs. Natives and tourists enjoy the music and art of the Palenque people. Children from the village prepare the reenactment of one of the main funeral rites, the Lumbalú.
